 Carnelian is a type of chalcedony, which is actually considered a member of the quartz family, and most commonly is found as red, orange, brown, and even pink. It’s very admirable for the fiery translucent colors and patterns it can exhibit. The banded varieties can actually also be considered to include agate as well. 

Carnelian has a stabilizing effect paired with a fiery & motivating energy. Stabilize then power up my friend! This fiery energy can aid in increasing physical & life force energy, empowering oneself, lighting up the creative energies & skills, sexuality, and letting you shine that inspired LIT confident energy.
